TOTGA (The One That Got Away)

Well, I gave this ever-so-therapeutic blog a rest yesterday to see if my ex would continue to harass me. I waited to see if I'd have something  juicy to share with you all. Alas, it was not to be. He sent two text messages AGAIN stating his case.📱I wrote him back simply... LEAVE ME BE. So, I haven't heard from him since yesterday around noon. I'm absolutely confident that I will hear from him again very soon though. I just hope I don't 'hear from him' at my front door, with a loaded shotgun, with every intention of taking me out for my unreasonable dismissal at his pleas for reconciliation! Hey, if it happens, the investigative team will have no trouble deciphering the culprit after reading my rantings here. Not that it would be any huge mystery anyway since he's been acting like a complete buffoon around all of my friends, at the mere mention of my name. Not to say that I'm all that, it's just some people are forever and totally drawn to certain people but it's rarely mutual. Everyone has that one that got away. The one that they compare every other person to. The reality is, if any of us could have the chance to reconnect with the one that got away, it would most likely be a very disappointing experience. Usually, those perfect partners are much better in our heads. I used to have two (TOTGAs) I thought about from time to time. However, having seen one (of the two) not too long ago at a popular mall, I was pretty disgusted by his current appearance and extremely relieved that our relationship hadn't advanced much farther than it had. Don't get me wrong, I'm not all hung up on looks, unless you look terrible from just plain, bad living (i.e. drinking/smoking/eating too much/the wrong food, wrong environment, etc). He looked like he did  ALL of those things. And in my defense, I've had plenty of 'mud ducks' in my past, but they were at least attractive to me, which is all that matters. The second TOTGA developed an ever-so-slight CRACK problem, so I'm sure you can see my relief there too. So, the moral of the story is that it's better to look ahead. I know you've heard it all before but I've had the good fortune to see behind (or what I supposedly missed out on) and I have to say that I (and you) should look to the future, be mellow and thank God that some of them got away!!
