I Got Nothing...

Sorry folks! Man, I really apologize but I got nothing for you today. But it's been so long since I've written, I feel like a neglectful mother for not showing you any attention! The only recent 'notables' center around 'period blues' and forgotten food. I know I joke a lot about my Monthly Monster but this weekend, just about every female in my life right now, was dealing with that. Including our little dog Jordan! You remember her from the Jordan Scarred Me For Life blog entry, right? I guess she's reached 'puberty' at the tender age of 9 months-they grow up so fast, don't they?! I think in the dog world, they call it reaching 'estrus'. Whatever they call it, the result is the same. Only her 'estrus' is going to last about 3 weeks, instead of the normal 5 or so days for women. So, for the last few days, she has been strutting around with specially fitted 'dog panties' for just this sort of 'female' thing. It's a little disturbing to see but kind of cute at the same time (but maybe you have to be a woman to appreciate it). Even she seemed to have a worse attitude than normal but I don't know if I'm unfairly characterizing her like that because I know her physical status at the moment. 🩸 Even going out this past Saturday was something of a bust. No juicy ex news or run-ins with DJs or men that looked like vampires. Just the same old, same old. 😐 I went out Saturday with every intention of sweating off all my make-up (by dancing hard) but I didn't have the energy once I got there. Our friend even met us there but since she was dealing with the same 'female' issues we all were, she seemed less than enthusiastic to be there. Of course, it didn't help that there wasn't anybody there remotely attractive. Quiet Saturday, quieter weekend. Today, the most interesting thing (I use the word interesting loosely), is the fact that I forgot my lunch today. I'd sit at my desk, trying to let the gentle 'clickity-clack' of my acrylic nails tapping against my keyboard, drown out the sound of my stomach growling. ⌨ As people came by my desk to chit-chat, I'd try hard to seem interested in their stories but dealing with the thunderously loud cry from my stomach (for sustenance), I was praying that their visit would be short, so I could suffer in silence (so to speak). 😶 I didn't have my car today (I rode with my sis today, who just works a block away), so running out for a quick fast food meal wasn't an option. I can't really complain though. I'd just read a story about many of Zimbabwe's residents that were reduced to foraging for rats to eat 🐀, if they opposed the reign of their President (82-year-old Robert Mugabe). After just 6 short years in office, he managed to turn a country from a land that used to export food, to a "nation of beggars" one Zimbabwean remarked. Did you see that?! I FEEL A BLOG IDEA BEGINNING TO BLOOM. 💡 But I'll get off my soapbox, I've occupied enough of your time. You have my solemn promise that I'll stir up some drama to report to you. Actually, I have few interesting stories beginning to form but I don't want to blow everything at this early stage. As you may recall, my friend Tahiti already warned me about revealing too much in my blog but don't worry, I won't let that deter me. Until next time!
